Edge Training

Located off Prahran’s bustling shopping precinct, this project involved the refurbishment of existing car photography studio to create a new elite training facility. The project is defined by the insertion of robust materials into the large space, showcasing the fitness equipment and concealing the luxurious amenities within.

Floor to ceiling galvanized steel pods underpin the project, concealing meeting rooms and amenities from the general workout spaces. Solid steel sheet is used to wrap the pods at ground level and dissolve into a metal mesh as they reach to the nearly 5m high ceilings. Existing large format steel doors were stripped of the ir cladding and infilled with glass to bring natural light into the space and provide passers-by a glimpse of the interior.
