Dyason is a collection of seven whole-floor apartments located in the iconic East Melbourne. The contemporary tower will combine with the original Victorian-era house on the site to create a bold contribution to the streetscape whilst sitting comfortably in the historic Jolimont precinct.
A concrete portal forms the backdrop to the heritage house while anchoring the new form to its site. The portal is balanced by soft curves and finely detailed glazing, revealing generous living spaces awash with natural light and city views.
Timeless interiors designed together with Lisa Buxton are composed with a tonal palette of travertine, natural timber and hard plaster and feature sculptural forms and a high level of detailing typically reserved for custom homes.
While preserving the historic building the development creates a strong yet sympathetic contribution to one of Melbourne’s oldest suburbs. Construction to commence in 2024.
